Haynesworth Makes Progress, Talks Don't
Albert Haynesworth is working out regularly, but contract talks between the defensive tackle and the Titans have remained dormant, according to the Tennessean.
"I have told [general manager] Mike [Reinfeldt] we are ready to talk about it at any time, but they have chosen to go slow in negotiations, which they have the right to do," his agent Chad Speck said. "I anticipate us talking."
Tennessee designated Haynesworth has their franchise player in February.
Alexander Interested In Cincy?
Shaun Alexander grew up in nearby Kentucky and would be interested in joining the Cincinnati Bengals.
"Making calls to teams. Bengals are on our list!" Jim Steiner, Alexander's agent, told The Enquirer in an e-mail Wednesday morning.
49ers Reportedly Interested In LB Spikes
The 49ers are still interested in signing free-agent linebacker Takeo Spikes, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Nothing is eminent between the two parties, but General Manager Scot McCloughan claims that the mutual interest is "50-50" at this point.
Packers Call On Daunte Culpepper
The Green Bay Packers are considering signing free agent quarterback Daunte Culpepper after meeting with him on Wednesday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
He's the third quarterback to meet with the Packers this offseason, with both of the others (Quinn Gray and Gus Frerrote) having signed elsewhere (Houston and Minnesota, respectively).
Culpepper struggled in Oakland last season, but Green Bay has a much stronger core and wouldn't ask him to start over Aaron Rodgers.
No Agreement Yet Between Allen, Vikings
Defensive end Jared Allen and the Minnesota Vikings still have yet to come to terms on a long-term contract offer, which has held up a potential trade from the Chiefs, according to the Kansas City Star.
Several reports, however, have indicted that the talks of compensation between the Vikings and Chiefs have impeded the talks.
Allen could possibily pay a visit to the Buccaneers this week as well, adding a third fold into the mix.

The Cowboys have opened preliminary talks with the Marion Barber about a new contract, according to the Dallas Morning News.
The team has offered the Pro Bowler a package worth $30 million, with Barber looking for a deal worth between $40 million and $60 million over.
In February, the team offered Barber a $2.56 million tender because of his status as a restricted free agent.
Steelers Meet With TE Kyle Brady
The Steelers met with tight end Kyle Brady on Tuesday and are entertaining the idea of signing the free agent, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Brady played in New England last season but was released by the Patriots in February.
Heath Miller is currently the only tight end on the team's roster.
Vanderjagt Has Tryout With Denver
Free agent kicker Mike Vanderjagt had a tryout with the Broncos on Monday, according to the Rocky Mountain News.
He is the most accurate kicker in NFL history but has been out of the NFL since midway through the 2006 season.
Denver is looking to add some competition to the job, with untested Matt Prater far from a lock to earn the top gig.
Broncos Eyeing WR's Jackson And Parker
The Broncos are looking to add depth to their wide receiver corps and have their eyes on free agents Samie Parker and Darrell Jackson, according to the Denver Post.
Parker last played with the Chiefs, while Jackson was cut by the 49ers earlier this offseason.
It is believed that the Broncos could reach an agreement with Parker by Monday, unless they decide to give Jackson a longer look.
Is Extension Close For Jags' Garrard?
With Head Coach Jack Del Rio signed to an extension, the Jaguars have shifted their focus to quarterback David Garrard, according to Jaguars.com.
Team owner Wayne Weaver told reporters at the press conference to announce Del Rio's deal on Thursday that Garrard was next in line.
"I think you can expect something on the quarterback. I think it'll be sooner than later," Weaver said.

The Vikings appear to be close to signing free agent quarterback Gus Frerotte.
